Volcanoes
The following names for the volcanoes of the Devil’s Roar were decided upon via a community poll that ran from February 15th 2021 to March 7th 2021 to reflect the experiences pirates had in the Roar.
Fetcher's Fury
An ill-tempered volcano that roars with fury spewing forth volcanic ash and magma. This volcano makes up the South-eastern portion of this island, with much of the landmass curving around it north-westerly-wards.Fetcher's RestFlintlock's Flame
Some have misheard the blast of this volcano spewing forth volcanic debris as the firing of a flintlock pistol. This volcano sits proudly in roughly the centre of this nest of islands.Flintlock PeninsulaGrace's Folly
Thought by many to be an extinct volcano but is actually dormant, erupting on rare occasions. The name, Grace’s Folly, refers to Captain Grace Morrow who took up residence on this island after her Forsaken Shores Alliance was disbanded. This volcano has been claimed to erupt most whenever the name Stitcher Jim is brought up. This volcano takes up the south lower portion of the island, looming over the craggy ravine that makes up the Fall part of Ruby’s Fall.Ruby's FallThe Ashen Torment
Often found erupting. If approached and it’s not erupting you can guarantee it will be within a few moments. This volcano lays to the south side of the island, but hardly lays dormant.Ashen ReachesThe Burning Pillars
Brian, owner of the nearby shop and seapost Brian’s Bazaar, claims he choose this spot to set up shop because “burning rocks from the sky and the boiling waters make pirates quicker to buy any deal”. A sea volcano situated in the northern waters of the Devil’s Roar and between four islands. Some pirates claimed to have seen the face of the infamous Captain Flameheart in rock of the volcano. An imposing volcano that takes up the majority of the southern side of this island.The Devil's ThirstThe Eye of the East
It is said that the safest places to be in a storm is in the eye, the same can’t be said for the Eye of the East. The eastern most sea volcano, surrounded by Brimstone Rock to the north-west, Glowstone Cay to the north-east, and Magma’s Tide to the south.Sea of ThievesThe Forsaken Ember
Travelling eastward from Ancient Spire Outpost, this sea volcano is typically the welcome greeting most pirates get when they first enter the Devil’s Roar. The north-west sea volcano that sits between Cinder Islet, The Forsaken Brink, and Morrow’s Peak Outpost.Sea of ThievesThe Lonely Beacon
A pirate once tried his luck catching a Sandy Battlegill here, using his cunning to sneak aboard a Skeleton Galleon. However the Lonely Beacon thought otherwise to his plans. A sea volcano located in the far south-east of the map, before hitting the Shroud.Sea of ThievesThe Molten Terror
