The oldest member of the Magpie's Wing, the first ship to successfully cross through the Shroud.

Skilled in a number of ways, Shan was originally sought by Ramsey to be quartermaster of the crew but Shan's abilities lay far beyond just stock-taking. He was adept at tinkering and making on-the-fly adjustments to the ship, he was noted for his playing of the concertina, and he embraced the magical qualities of the Sea of Thieves.

It is a little known fact that he pioneered the creation of cannons that could fire humans.

His current whereabouts are unknown, although given his age when they first discovered the Sea of Thieves it is widely thought that they have sadly passed away.
