The deed is done. My message lured Merrick away from the safety of Stephen's Spoils, and... the rest was easier than I thought. The thrill of the chase! I honestly enjoyed it. What I do not enjoy is wandering up and down this forsaken beach. How can I hide if I can't find the wretched hideout? I'm supposed to follow the river, whatever that means. Perhaps somewhere along the underground passageway? Maybe near that old campfire... For now, this journal is a good excuse to sit in the sun while I ponder my bright new future. There won't be much daylight where I'm heading...
