Forgotten Journal I
Forgotten Journal, by the Masked Assailant. The deed is done. My message lured Merrick away from the safety of Stephen's Spoils, and... the rest was easier than I thought. The thrill of the chase! I honestly enjoyed it. What I do not enjoy is wandering up and down this forsaken beach. How can I hide if I can't find the wretched hideout? I'm supposed to follow the river, whatever that means. Perhaps somewhere along the underground passageway? Maybe near that old campfire... For now, this journal is a good excuse to sit in the sun while I ponder my bright new future. There won't be much daylight where I'm heading...Wanderers RefugeForgotten Journal II
Forgotten Journal, by the Masked Assailant. Ghost Ships, Soulflame Captains, Flames of Fate... All of them weakened the barrier between worlds. It was enough for us to flit back and forth as needed. But wounds heal. Our old routes have slipped from our grasp, been blockaded or sealed away. That left me trapped here, alone. At least the box has allowed us to stay in contact. The power to carry words to and fro, even to the land of the dead! I wonder if Morrow knows the truth. Sister wants my notes destroyed, but why? The book is already ripped apart; its pages repurposed for messages and orders to dim-witted Phantoms. Once I bury the final fragments, my tracks will be covered. One day, I may even come back for them. A little memento of the day my new life began.Wanderers RefugeForgotten Journal III
Forgotten Journal, by the Masked Assailant. If we are to move freely, we must lay hands on a new source of power - one with a most unusual history. The oldest enemy of the Pirate Lord... I never once paid any attention to those key-twirling fools in their miserable tents. Useless wretches, slaving away to serve a master blinded by greed long ago. No, not blinded... Sister says he could see so much more with those glittering eyes. Twin Veil Stones, used to peer into other worlds at countless treasures, all just out of reach. No wonder the Gold Hoarder went insane.Sailors' BountyForgotten Journal IV
Forgotten Journal, by the Masked Assailant. Who knows what gives Sirens their power? Not me, and frankly, I don't care. What matters is the weapons they carry. Even once I have all the pieces, I'll need help. Not even Sister knows the ritual to make them whole and bend them to our purpose. Luckily, the Brethren have grown in number during their time stranded in the Sea of the Damned. Phantom pirates pledged their loyalty by the dozen. They're not the brightest bunch, but a simple kidnapping should be within their means, so long as I give them written orders to follow. In fact, I've just had a brilliant idea. What's that phrase? Two birds with one stone...Salty SandsForgotten Journal V
Forgotten Journal, by the Masked Assailant. The mystic did as she was told with hardly any persuasion. I could have left her here, but she can still be useful to me in another way. When Flameheart kidnapped the Weaponsmith all those months ago, he nearly brought my Sister's wrath down upon himself. It took some doing, but I convinced her to call off the attack. We were just one ship, after all. No need to bring attention to ourselves just yet... Little by little, I've been able to widen the gulf between them. I will not allow a family reunion to jeopardise my place in the Dark Brethren. Through Olga, I'll remind Wonda of her place in this world — the choices she made and the chances she squandered. Make sure she knows the line not to cross...Cannon Cove
